Challenge Six: ‘Smokey eye with a twist’.
The twist is that its pretty damn purple. That’s it really. Smokey eyes are simple stuff. I used the usual brands, Sleek, MAC, Illamasqua, Urban Decay, etc.
I finally found my MAC Reflects Transparent Teal glitter when I moved back home. I’d been looking for that for months. So of course I decided to do a look using it. I started using my cream pigment in Mould, but it was taking too long to build up an even coverage. So I darkened some purple face paint with a bit of black and built it up quickly across my forehead and down my neck. Then I packed the glitter all over the painted areas. I used a nude shade of lip gloss to balance out the look.
I have absolutely no idea why I did this, its awful. I had no inspiration for it, I just wanted to use my Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Mould because I never touch the thing. Practice is practice though I guess. It was actually a lot more purple in real life, like in the last image, but the flash made it far more shiny than it actually was. I need to invest in a translucent setting powder for things like this.
